Things to do this School Holidays in the Lower North Shore
Today marks the first week of school holidays, meaning it’s time to roll up your sleeves and start planning fun activities to do with the kids. Luckily, the Lower North Shore is full of fun things to do during the school holidays. To help get you started, we’ve gathered some of our favourite things to do in the Lower North Shore of Sydney that will guarantee a fun time! 



Spooksville, Luna Park

Location: 1 Olympic Drive, Milsons Point 
Dates: Sep 28 – Oct 27 
Entry: Free
Treat the whole family to a spooky night of fun at Luna Park. There will be plenty of activities during the Halloween Family festival such as face painting and pumpkin carving! It’ll be $2 per activity with 100% of profits from the activities being donated to Sydney Children’s Hospitals Foundation. There’s also a “best dressed” title crowned each week with prizes to be won. Still not convinced? There’s two new rides that will be added to Luna Park that’ll get your heart racing!

Taronga Zoo

Location: Bradleys Head Rd, Mosman
Entry: $69 per child 
Meet the animals at Taronga Zoo for a fun, educational program where the kids will be taken on an exciting zoo journey to learn about animals and the environments they live in.

Lego MANIA 

Location: 1 Frederick St, Artarmon
Dates: Sep 28 – Oct 13 
Time: 10am to 4pm daily 
Entry: Gold coin entry per participant

Water Activities at Balmoral Beach

Location: Balmoral Beach
Paddleboard, kayak or hire a boat with the family and enjoy a day out in one of the safest, most protected parts of the harbour. Balmoral Beach is a family-friendly beach with different areas to play and swim! There’s also cafes around and plenty of rental companies to choose from where you can hire equipment from. Cremorne Point Reserve

Location: Milson Rd, Cremorne Point 
Cremorne Reserve is a beautiful park with magnificent views of the city and harbour bridge on one side, and Mosman Bay on the other. It’s the perfect spot for a picnic with the family and has a playground, lighthouse, 1920s pool (Maccallum Pool) and plenty of spots to walk around!
